Siemens Healthineers Unveils Accela Radiotherapy System With FDA Clearance Pending

Siemens Healthineers introduced its Accela radiotherapy platform on September 27, 2026. It is designed around NeoArc dynamic modulated arc therapy and incorporates updated imaging, treatment planning and delivery technology.
The manufacturer describes potential for single-breath-hold stereotactic treatments and multisite SBRT delivery in as little as 60 seconds. These are manufacturer-reported capabilities, not evidence of improved patient outcomes.
Accela includes HyperSight cone-beam CT imaging, a redesigned multileaf collimator and AI-assisted planning. The company says development involved input from several cancer centers.
At announcement, FDA 510(k) clearance was pending. Accela was not available for sale in any market, and commercialization and feature availability were not guaranteed.
