Guerbet to Spotlight Innovation and French Healthcare Excellence at ECR 2026
Guerbet will mark a major milestone at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2026 in Vienna, March 4–8, as the company celebrates its 100th anniversary and underscores its continued commitment to innovation in medical imaging and support for the healthcare ecosystem.
Centenary Visual Identity to Debut at ECR
In 2026, Guerbet celebrates a century of advancing radiology. At ECR, the Group will unveil the visual identity created to commemorate its centenary. The new branding reflects “a century of innovation in medical imaging” and reaffirms the company’s commitment to shaping the future of diagnostic and interventional imaging.
The unveiling at ECR 2026 represents a symbolic milestone in Guerbet’s history, highlighting its sustained ambition to drive progress in radiology.
Elucirem™ (Gadopiclenol) in Focus
At the congress, Guerbet will showcase Elucirem™ (gadopiclenol), its macrocyclic gadolinium-based contrast agent. Approved by the European Commission, Elucirem™ is indicated in adults and in children from birth for contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
The agent is designed to improve detection and visualization of pathologies associated with disruption of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and/or abnormal vascularity in:
- The brain, spine, and associated tissues of the central nervous system (CNS)
- The liver, kidney, pancreas, breast, lung, prostate, and musculoskeletal system
For these indications, MRI examinations performed with Elucirem™ require half the conventional gadolinium dose compared with existing nonspecific contrast agents, addressing a major concern among practitioners regarding gadolinium exposure.
Guerbet described this as “a major step forward in improving diagnostic imaging for young patients,” reflecting its ongoing commitment to innovation and patient safety.
Real-World Evidence in Radiology
A dedicated patient case area at the Guerbet booth will spotlight the role of Real-World Evidence (RWE) in advancing radiology practice. The exhibit will demonstrate how real-life clinical data can enhance patient care and support more informed clinical decision-making.
Showcasing French Healthcare Expertise
With France honored at this year’s ECR, Guerbet will also contribute to promoting French excellence in healthcare. Its booth will host the “French Pavilion” under the aegis of the French Healthcare initiative.
The pavilion is intended to foster dialogue and cooperation among companies, institutions, and healthcare stakeholders, showcasing innovative health solutions on a global stage.
Through its centenary celebration, product innovation, and support for international collaboration, Guerbet aims to position ECR 2026 as both a celebration of its past and a statement of its future direction in medical imaging.
