Video: ARRO's Immediate Past Chair Kaleigh Doke, MD, discusses ASTRO '18 highlights and issues affecting residents

By Sharon Breske

A huge thanks to University of Kansas' Kaleigh Doke, MD, immediate past chair of the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO), for taking the time to talk with Applied Radiation Oncology at ASTRO 2018 in San Antonio.

Dr. Doke, who served as the first ARRO liaison to Applied Radiation Oncology, discusses issues surrounding women in radiation oncology, including the need to increase numbers of women entering the field (which has recently taken a dip), as well as inspirational talks for residents at ASTRO. She also discusses several ARRO educational initiatives such as Meet Me in the Treatment Room, the monthly Image Challenge, and ARRO's case of the month.
